गुरू कुम्हार (Teacher is a potter)

शिष्य कुम्भ है , गुरू कुम्हार है , गढ़ गढ़ काडे खोट ।
अन्दर हाथ सहार दे, बाहर मारे चोट ॥

Translation:
A Student is like a pot and a teacher is like a potter who removes the deformities of the pot by hitting.
The Potter keeps the hand on the inside and hits hard on the surface.
